Dear Tyler Elementary School Community,

Welcome back to the 2019-2020 school year!  As the new assistant principal of Tyler Elementary, I would like to share some background. For as long as I can remember, education has been my passion. I’ve worked in the field of education for nineteen years.  Over the course of those years, I have served as an administrative intern, a reading specialist, and a classroom teacher for kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and sixth grade.  I attained my undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and hold two master’s degrees from Columbia University and Regent University.  My husband and I live on a horse farm in Warrenton and are blessed to have four beautiful, healthy children ages 12 through 24 years old, as well as, three horses and three canine friends.

As an educational leader, I embrace the opportunity to partner with parents and professional educators to create an engaging learning environment within which students may learn, grow, aspire, and meet their potential.  It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the Tyler school community where we empower students to learn, achieve, succeed, and contribute in meaningful, authentic ways.  As your assistant principal, I will work diligently to ensure that every Tyler Elementary student is successful.  I am confident this will be a tremendous year of growth as your child learns to think critically, problem-solve, communicate effectively, collaborate with peers, and become a life-long longer with a growth mindset.  Please let me know how I may be of assistance as I am here to support your child and your family.  Best wishes for a productive, spectacular school year.
